EWC Club Program
Esports World Cup’s Club Program is an industry-first program designed to promote sustainable planning for multidisciplinary esports clubs, unite global fans of different esports titles under collective banners, and elevate the best athletes in the world under one consolidated competition.
The inaugural Esports World Cup will crown the very first Esports World Cup Club Champion in the summer of 2024.
EWC Club Program
The EWC Program is available to 28 clubs worldwide: 22 through a direct invitation, and six through an open application. Successful clubs are expected to have an established track record with a long-term strategy in the esports industry, have demonstrated the ability to build teams in one or more esport titles and have the ability to engage with a global fanbase.
Clubs accepted into the Program that show competitive excellence, draw the most viewership, and generate social engagement leading up to and during the World Cup will be eligible for an annual six-figure payout. This incentive will offer a sustainable opportunity for the Clubs to maximize their participation in the World Cup, based not just on their competitive performance but also on their ability to grow their international esports fanbase.
WHO SHOULD APPLY?
CONFIDENTIAL PROCESS
Applications open on 1 February 2024 and close on 15 February 2024.
The Program does not guarantee participation to any club in the Esports World Cup. All clubs aiming to compete will still be required to qualify through traditional methods to earn their spot in the tournament for each game.
The EWC Club Program enables clubs to build a sustainable pipeline for growth of both their existing teams and additional programs. Our goal is to help the clubs we collaborate with increase their brand visibility, compete in a world-class competition, and elevate esports as a global sport.

EWC Club Program
Esports World Cup welcomes applications from esports clubs across all regions through 15 February 2024. EWC Club Program applicants should address the three core factors in their submission: the organization’s past competitive success, its strategy and goals for the future , and its approach to fan engagement and content.
Applications will be evaluated by an Esports World Cup Foundation-appointed committee.
After the Application Phase closes, selected clubs will advance to the Shortlist Phase. There, they will be asked to expand upon their initial application with additional details and context.
In the Pitch Phase, clubs will be asked to summarize their submissions to the selection committee in a live setting. A strong, strategic pitch should highlight the value and contribution a club can bring to the Esports World Cup, a creative vision for the organization, and a clear path toward growth of its competitive success and international fanbase.
The selection committee will review materials from across each of the three previous phases to make a final decision on which clubs will be selected for the EWC Club Program.

EWC Club Program
The Esports World Cup Program is a first-of-its-kind initiative designed to promote sustainable planning for all participating esports clubs, unite global fans of different esports titles under collective banners, and elevate the best athletes in the world under one consolidated competition.
Many clubs have a limited ability to viably expand their rosters and compete in multiple games at the highest level. In an effort to help break this barrier, the Club Program offers financial incentives that will enable clubs to expand into more titles and receive an additional revenue stream to further strengthen their business. This is a key element of our vision of building a stronger esports ecosystem and elevating esports as global sports.
Clubs that will be accepted into the Program will be eligible for an annual six-figure payout directly tied to the clubs’ competitive performance and ability to drive viewership and fan engagement. In 2024, a one-time stimulus is available to the teams that want to enter into new esports titles to compete in a cross-game tournament.
Club Program funding is multi-purpose and can be considered an additional revenue stream for clubs.
Up to 28 clubs will participate in the Club Program: 22 through a direct invitation, and six through an open application.
A full list of participating titles will be announced in the coming few weeks. Please follow Esports World Cup on social channels for news.
The Program does not guarantee participation to any club in the Esports World Cup. All clubs aiming to compete will still be required to qualify through traditional methods to earn their spot in the tournament for each game.
EWC Club Program applicants will need to be existing private entities with a history of competition in one or more esports, with a tenure of success in domestic and international tournaments. Clubs should apply as individual entities; consortiums or partnered applications are not allowed.
Applications open Thursday, February 1, 2024 at www.ewcclubprogram.com
Applications close on Thursday, February 15, 2024. Extensions will not be granted for late submissions.
If your Club is successful and shortlisted for the next round, please expect to be contacted before the end of February by a representative from the Esports World Cup team with next steps. Due to the high volume of submissions expected, we may not be able to get back individually to each club with feedback.
Clubs will be judged on three core criteria: their esports pedigree, their forward-looking competitive strategy and goals, and their creative approach to content and fan engagement.
Applicants’ competitive success will be judged across their performance at all domestic and international esports competitions.
